EXECUTIVE SEARCH FIRM SELECTED TO SEEK CANDIDATES FOR CMA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR POST
NASHVILLE – An executive search firm has been named to find a new executive director for the Country Music Association, announced Charlie Anderson, President/CEO of Anderson Merchandisers and former Chairman of the CMA Board of Directors.
Anderson chairs the CMA Search Committee, which consists of current members of the CMA Board of Directors who have also served as Chairman. The Committee selected the firm WTW Associates based in New York City to lead the search. Ira Sallen, a partner in the firm, will be working directly with the Search Committee and will be accepting applications from potential candidates at i.sallen@wtwassociates.com.
Founded in 1958, the Country Music Association was the first trade organization formed to promote a specific genre of music. Today more than 7,000 music industry professionals and companies from 41 countries around the world are members of CMA. The organization is dedicated to bringing Country Music to the world through its tradition of leadership, promoting the music, conducting research and education and recognizing excellence in all its forms.
